PodCamp London Portraits →
While at PodCamp London this past Saturday we hope you had a chance to get your picture taken.
Jason Fredin donated his time, resources and specialities to take portraits of PodCamp attendees and we couldn’t have asked for a better person to take them. If you chatted with Jason you would have realized that he was well prepared, with an almost 100% automated system.
If Jason took your...

Well it is the Friday night before PodCamp London and it looks like people want to get together to socialize. Who are we to argue?
With that said a number of people have wanted to know where everyone is heading for the evening. The PodCamp London Organizing team has decided that they are going to head to the Coates of Arms Pub located at the corner of Talbot St....

With that said I have put together the following 15 points that might help throughout the day:
Pants are NOT optional. Although today may...

We're happy PodCampers →
PodCamp London’s chief organizer, Bill Deys was interviewed yesterday for the London Free Press.
Citing things as; word of mouth advertising, the law of two feet and the diversity of sessions being offered, this article helps to better explain PodCamp London and it’s general purpose to the London Free Press Readership.

Collaborator Needed
Unfortunately James Shelly will be unable to give his presentation at this year’s PodCamp London. James has decided to get married (Congratulations James!) and as such just doesn’t have time to finish his presentation.
With that said, James would like to collaborate and team up with anyone interested in finishing up the research and to present on the topic next year.
If you are...

PodCamp sets up UnConference in London →
Students encouraged to register, attend and participate in event
Recently I (Kevin) was contacted by the UWO Gazette as they wanted to do a story on PodCamp London.
I was asked a few questions and gave a few answers. Although the story can’t yet be found on the Gazette Website (when it becomes available I will post a link to it) I did manage to find the PDF version of the paper and have...

Convergence Centre →
I had the opportunity yesterday to visit the Convergence Centre for a couple of hours. Although I didn’t get a chance to explore the entire building I have to say that I was very impressed with the facilities that I saw.
From first impressions I have to say that I think the Convergence Centre it is a very appropriate and fitting venue for PodCamp London 2010.
Finally, the ‘un’conference →

Sessions? →
After last night’s successful and very entertaining Geek Dinner I realized that many people are planning on presenting a session at this year’s Pod Camp London they are just trying to finalize their specific topics.
I began thinking about other sessions that people might want to present or that they might want to see.
Do you have a session you want to lead? Or perhaps there is...

Really looking forward to #pclo10. Really not looking forward to the douchiness...
– @Pat Dryburgh
I think I know exactly what Pat is talking about, but I don’t think he has anything to worry about. Last year’s crowd was pretty “down to earth” and I am sure this year although people will change, overall it will be good.
And as a last resort Pat, I will...

Session Thoughts?
So after talking last night about PodCamp London 2010 with Nick Wynja (sounds like Ninja, sorta) and Jeremy Klaver (for some reason I always think his last name is Kevlar) I started thinking of a possible session I could give at PodCamp.
While I am still on the fence about it and want to see what other people propose, I thought I would throw out an idea I was having.
Crowdsourcing: FROM the...

Analog Boards
The following are two things which I hope we can have at this year’s PodCamp London 2010.
The first was the analog Twitter feed that someone started last year, it was something simple which got people to have a conversation and added some humour to the day.
The second thing is something that came up at PodCamp Toronto 2010 that I think people might benefit from (I know I might be in the...

Notebook - PodCamp Toronto →
Just as a point of reference: this Community Notebook came out of a trial run the PCLO10 organizing team made while attending PodCamp Toronto 2010. Kevin Van Lierop (Me) set up a simple tumblr account to keep track of his (and other people’s) thoughts. Although it wasn’t as successful as it could have been, it gave a model on which to build the PodCamp London version, which as we know...

Notebook
As part of the PodCamp London 2010 experience the organizers thought it might be handy to have a Community Notebook where participants could share images, thoughts, ideas and other little bits of information which are collected during the weekend events.
With that said, I thought why not make this public, for others to enjoy as well.
What we would really like to see is others contributing as...
